JESUS IS YOUR KINSMAN REDEEMER

“And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman. And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.” – Ruth 3:11-12 (KJV)

Beloved, you will discover that from the moment Boaz told Ruth, “I will do to thee all that thou requirest,” he took full responsibility for her situation. He became her advocate. Though there was another relative who legally had the first right of redemption, Boaz was determined to ensure Ruth’s future was secure. When the other kinsman declined, Boaz stepped in and paid the full price to redeem her.

In the same way, Jesus stepped in as our Kinsman Redeemer. He identified with our humanity, felt our pain, and willingly laid down His life for our redemption. He was not forced; He chose to pay the ultimate price with His blood.

Galatians 3:13 declares: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” And Ephesians 1:7 confirms: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

You are redeemed. Your debt is paid. You are no longer a slave to sin, fear, or condemnation. Stop looking down on yourself, you are worth the blood of Jesus. That’s how precious you are to God.

Amazingly, Ruth’s redemption positioned her in the lineage of royalty. According to Matthew 1:5, Ruth and Boaz had Obed, who fathered Jesse – the father of King David, through whose lineage Jesus Christ was born. That’s the power of divine redemption.

Jesus is your Kinsman Redeemer. When you fall at His feet in surrender and faith, He takes ownership of your burdens and battles. Today, rest in this truth: You are not forsaken. You are fully redeemed by your Kinsman Redeemer. Jesus Christ.
