THERE IS AN OPENING FOR YOU
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wednesday 23rd November 2022

“And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him”. Mark 7:32 (KJV)

The year 2020 was one of the most traumatic periods in human history. For a couple of months, nations of the world were completely shut down and this continued in several countries in 2021. Airports, schools, and churches were shut down. Government offices and businesses were shut down. There was a complete lockdown of the system. I came to tell you that your life can’t be locked down. You can still prosper amid all the adverse conditions and that after every lockdown there will always be an opening. So don’t shut yourself down. Rather open yourself up for what God is doing in your life.

God has not designed that our lives will be under lockdown by the adversary. The devil does not have that capacity to put us down. When God steps into the situation, He opens it up for blessings. Our text tells us that a man was brought to Jesus that was both deaf and dumb. Life has been shut down for him. The eyes and ears are key sensory organs, and he has lost the use of both. If your ability to see and speak becomes impaired, you can’t achieve much in life. Some of us have been under the lockdown of the enemy for so long, put under lock and keys by the enemy in diverse manners, and you are wondering if you will ever come out of this situation. No matter what it is the enemy has used to shut down your life, there will be an opening. You cannot remain in that situation.

The word of God is coming to you to encourage you and to challenge you never to tolerate the lie of the devil. Your life cannot be locked down because of the colourful future and colourful destiny that God Himself has ordained for your life. Our text tells us that they brought this man to Jesus, that’s the beginning of victory. The beginning of opening for anyone is to know there is no other place to go other than to Jesus, and because you have come to Jesus, you cannot be under lockdown.
