YOU ARE CALLED TO DO THE WORKS THAT JESUS DID

“Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also…” John 14:12 (KJV)
Beloved, the keyword in this powerful promise is “believeth.” It is the ones who believe that are empowered to do. This is not a motivational phrase, it is a divine guarantee straight from the lips of Jesus Himself. And He cannot lie. “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” – Mark 13:31 (KJV)
So, how can a believer prove the truth of this scripture? By simply believing. That’s what makes you a believer in the first place. Believe what the word of God says. Don’t overanalyze it. Don’t try to figure out “how.” Your responsibility is not to make it happen but to believe that it will.
Mary told the servants: “whatsoever He saith unto you, do it” (John 2:5KJV). In other words, believe whatever He says and act out what you believe. That is how to partake of the miracles of God. If you want to walk in the miraculous, then believe what Jesus says and act on it. That’s the secret.
During the revival wave in the 1970s, people read the Word, believed it, and simply acted. New believers were challenging principalities and power. They laid hands on the sick. They cast out demons. They evangelized boldly. They saw extraordinary results, not because they were super saints, but because they were simple believers who took God at His Word. That was why the gospel spread the way it spread and churches began to spring up everywhere.
Jesus said in Mark 16:18, “They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Notice that Jesus didn’t say bishops will lay hands on the sick. He said the believer. That includes you. But unless you step out and act in faith, you’ll never witness what God can do through you.
God is charging you today to cast aside all fears and doubt and step out in faith to do His bidding and you will see His awesome power manifest through you.
