BE ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN CHRIST
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Thursday 24th July 2025

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” – Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV)

Beloved, as believers, we are called to not just receive Christ but to be rooted and built up in Him. To be rooted in Christ means being anchored in the truth of who He is and who you are in Him. It means being so established in your identity that no lie of the enemy, no wind of doctrine, and no opposition can shake you.

Paul warns in Colossians 2:8: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit… and not after Christ.” In other words, don’t let worldly ideologies or fear-driven traditions define your walk. Let Christ alone be your foundation. The next verse further declares: “For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.” (Col. 2:9-10 KJV) Did you see that? You are complete in Christ, and He is the authority over every other authority, seen or unseen. That means no witch, wizard, or demonic force has power over you. Christ is the Head of all powers, and you are seated in Him.

You are God’s headquarters! As the light of the world, you cannot be hidden. When light enters a room, darkness has no choice but to flee. If you’re constantly being terrorized by darkness, it’s time to examine what you’re believing and feeding your faith with. Christ’s sacrifice is completely complete and perfectly perfect, nothing missing, nothing broken.

If Jesus says you are light, then darkness cannot withstand your presence. If you are in Christ, then you are already a victor, not a victim. If witches and wizards feel comfortable around you, something is wrong, not with Christ, but with your consciousness of who you are.

So today, rise above fear. Stop visiting every spiritual meeting out of panic. Be rooted in the truth. Walk boldly in your identity. You are more than a conqueror. You are righteous. You are complete in Christ.
