WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: CHALLENGES ARE PART OF THE JOURNEY
“And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:32-33 KJV
Beloved, on your journey to greatness and achieving what God has purposed for you, if you never face an obstacle, how will you know it is God leading you? If there is no resistance on the pathway to your destiny, how will you be able to understand that if not for God, you would not have made it?
What happens is that on the pathway to greatness, many quit. They give up halfway when faced with resistance, not realizing that challenges are part of the success journey. Beloved, when God gives you a dream, and that dream does not contain a measure of resistance, it is probably not from God.
I can guarantee you that each time God is involved in a thing, there are always challenges, to prove to you that you have to depend on Him to break through in that assignment. The just shall live by faith.
You will find this pattern all through the scriptures. We walk by faith, not by sight. If you decide to work by what you see, you will run away. So, you must stand there even when there is contradictory evidence.
The ten spies said, “We are like grasshoppers in our own sight and so were we in their sight.” What you call a thing, that is what it will become. We are like God. He calls the things that are not as though they were, and they come into existence.
The ten spies determined how far they would go. They said we were like grasshoppers in their sight. What you call a thing is what it will become, because you are like God.
