DARE TO BELIEVE

“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20

One of the tragedies facing the Church today is the inability to believe the Word of God. The more you try to rationalise it, the more impossible it becomes. God has not called you to understand Him; He called you to BELIEVE.

To believe is to accept that He who promised is able and faithful to perform. To believe is to conclude that He can and will do as He has said. It is not a function of your ability or capacity, but that of God. Think of it, if a multi-billionaire promises to buy you a car, you leave that place dancing and testifying of the car, not because you have received it, but because you have accessed the person who made the promise and you have concluded within yourself that he can buy the car. The same thing happens if you meet the Chairman of a business conglomerate who promises you a job. The fact that he said to you “See me tomorrow and pick your employment letter” makes you rejoice; not because you have received the offer, or that you have resumed, but because you judged him able to give you that job.

Why then do you remain sad and unmoved when God speaks to you? Is God not bigger than the multi billionaire or the chairman of a business conglomerate? It is time to truly believe. Stop and think about the awesomeness of God. Think about the things He has done in time past and be convinced that He who did that can do anything that He has promised.

I challenge you today to dare to believe God. Receive every word and every promise with all of your heart and see His word come to pass in every area of your life.
