WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: DON’T FRUSTRATE THE GRACE OF GOD
“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” – Matthew 25:1–4 (KJV)
Beloved, the ten virgins were all undefiled; the only distinction was that five were wise and five were foolish. The foolish virgins represent those who frustrate the grace of God. They attend church but remain uninvolved.
They are complacent in their relationship with God, believing they have “served enough” and can now retire from active participation.
They withhold support when assistance is requested, avoid tithes and offerings, and discourage those who are zealous for God.
They take the mercy and grace of God for granted, living with a careless and casual attitude toward the things of God. No prayers. No fasting. No family altar. They are too busy for the Lord.
“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.” – 2 Corinthians 6:1 (KJV)
Beloved, the grace you have received is not meaningless. It is unmerited, unconditional, irrevocable, irreversible, blood-bought, and ironclad. God bore the ultimate cost for your redemption, and that grace is intended for a purpose.
There is an assignment to carry out. Do not frustrate the grace that God has deposited in your life. Do not treat it as nothing. Receive it, deploy it, and let it manifest fruitfully in your life.
