GIVE A BLACK EYE TO THE ENEMY

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” – Luke 10:19 (KJV)

Beloved, in Luke chapter 10, Jesus gathered seventy disciples, paired them up, and sent them into various cities to represent Him. He gave them clear instructions and charged them to heal the sick in each place they visited. In verse 16, He told them that anyone who listened to them was listening to Him.

When these seventy returned, they were overflowing with joy. They testified, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name!” (Luke 10:17 KJV). What they experienced was beyond their imagination. They had watched Jesus perform mighty miracles and deliver the oppressed, but they never expected to have the same authority and results. Jesus’ response to the seventy showed that He expected nothing less. In fact, He expected them to have these results.

Beloved, it’s time to rise and resist the devil in every area where he dares to show his face. God expects you to have tangible proof of your faith in Him. He wants you to give the enemy a black eye, not to walk around defeated or passively accept whatever the enemy throws your way.

Jesus said in John 14:12 (NKJV): “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

God has called us to greater works, but this only happens when we take our rightful place as His authorized representatives on earth. His plan is for you to live victoriously, never settling for anything less.
