GIVE ATTENTION TO GOD’S WORD
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV)

You’ll be shocked how a lot of believers live. God has spoken concerning every human being in life but how many are listening.

The surest way to have clarity with anything that has to do with life is through the word of God. Look at what the scriptures says in the book of 2 Peter 1:19-21, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV).

What is that sure word of prophecy? It is a sure word because the holy men of God who wrote the scriptures were moved by the Holy Spirit. That is a surer word. You have it right there with you. The word of God is a sure source of clarity in every area.

God wants you to walk in the light of His word. He wants you to hold on to the promises He has made on your behalf because His word is sure. God wants you to walk and live your life supernaturally. This can only be your reality when you give attention to His word. His word is Spirit and Life.

The word elevates you. The word gives you peace. “Great peace have they which love thy law: And nothing shall offend them.”(Psalm 119:165 KJV). Those who love the word of God shall enjoy great peace. They will not be distracted. They are focused! They are pursuing their dreams knowing fully well that it is a settled matter.
