GOD CAN BE TRUSTED

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5. KJV

Beloved, we serve a good God. You can know the character of God through the express image of His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him”. When you understand that the very nature of God is all about blessing you, then you will no longer be uptight in your relationship with God. I know that the world has painted the picture of God who is quick to judge no wonder the insurance companies put all-natural disasters as “the acts of God”. Nothing is further from the truth.

Having the knowledge of God, as He who does good, gives you the boldness and confidence to trust Him in the midst of every challenge and in the midst of every pressure. Job knew God, and said in Job 19:25, “For I know my Redeemer liveth …”. He knew God can be trusted under any circumstance, under any condition. Job also declared in Job 13:15, “Though He slays me, yet will I trust in Him”.

Trust is commitment. You are saying, I am committed, even when I don’t understand. Trust is saying: Lord I don’t understand what you are doing, but I am committed to you. It takes people who know God to do that. Daniel 11:32b says: “…. those who know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploits”.

Grace is multiplied through knowledge as seen in 2 Peter 1:3: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him…”. When you know Him, you will trust Him for anything and all things. All things that pertain to life and godliness have already been given to us. All you need do is to trust in Him for it.
