WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

TOPIC: JESUS IS ALL YOU NEED
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 (KJV)
Beloved, never allow anyone to twist your understanding and take you back under the law. Stand firmly on the ground of grace. Standing on grace means recognizing that Jesus is all you need, nothing more, nothing less. His perfect sacrifice is sufficient.
Avoid any place or teaching that offers “Jesus plus something else.” It must always be Jesus and Jesus alone.
The Bible declares: “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
It is not about Monday or Tuesday, it is about Jesus Himself. Jesus is the day! Every day of your life is a day for rejoicing because of what He accomplished through His death and resurrection. When you fully grasp the depth of God’s love for you, your struggles lose their power.
Do you realize that God Himself lives in you? Everything God does flows from the finished work of Jesus. He has complete faith in what Christ accomplished, and you should too.
Beloved, it must always be Jesus plus nothing. In Him: You are made righteous. You are no longer a sinner. You are a world overcomer. Your breakthroughs are guaranteed because the price has been fully paid. Nothing can work against you.
You will not be defeated, because the Greater One lives in you. You will never be stranded, because God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:11-13 (KJV)
With Jesus, failure is impossible. His goodness is always being deployed for your benefit, and His faithfulness never fails. Stand firm, rejoice daily, and let the life of Christ manifest through you.
