WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo
FRIDAY 27th MARCH 2026
TOPIC: KNOW YOUR PRIVILEGES IN CHRIST
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” – Ephesians 1:18 (KJV)
Beloved, the game has changed, and with it, our strategy must change too. You must begin to leverage your position in Christ and clearly understand what grace has made available to you. Grace supplies, and faith takes. Faith operates by knowing your rights in Christ and acting on them.
Do not merely join the church and get excited with clapping and celebrations without understanding. Today, the greatest resource is mind power; the knowledge of who you are and what you have in God.
Isaiah 32:17 says, “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.” Notice that the scripture does not mention anxiety or fear. Righteousness produces peace.
The effect of righteousness is quietness and assurance, meaning you can rest, knowing all is well.
Isaiah 54:17 reminds us that it is your covenant right as a Kingdom citizen to speak against the lies of the enemy. It is your heritage; you belong to God’s family. When the devil rages, open your mouth and declare the Word. Faith is released through the words you speak.
Each morning, instead of focusing on challenges, remind yourself of God’s goodness: “Lord, I thank You because You love me with an everlasting love. Perfect love casts out fear. Thank You for giving me access to Your presence. In You, my provision is guaranteed.”
When you start your day in this way, peace is released into your heart. Understanding your position in God is the key to walking in confidence, assurance, and victory every day.
