TOPIC: LOOK BEYOND THE VISIBLE
“while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
Oftentimes, we allow the visible; circumstances, challenges, or setbacks to limit us. As a result, we fail to actualize the divine purpose God has ordained for our lives.
Yet the Scripture reminds us: the unseen is superior. The spiritual realm governs, rules, and controls the physical realm. What we see around us is temporal, subject to change, and often deceptive. By contrast, the unseen realm, the world of the Spirit, is eternal and unchanging.
Beloved, we are spirit beings, created in the image and likeness of God. Our body is merely a vehicle for living in the physical realm. When the body dies, it returns to dust, but the spirit, who we truly are, continues. Who we are in the Spirit is greater than any physical circumstance.
Therefore, we must learn to live from the spiritual realm, beyond the limitations of what we can see.
Consider Abraham: when Lot chose the best portion of the land, Abraham could have felt discouraged. He had seemingly lost everything. But God spoke to him: “And the Lord said to Abram after Lot had separated from him: Lift up your eyes now, and look from the place where you are, northward, southward, eastward, and westward;” – Genesis 13:14 (NKJV)
Notice the principle; Don’t focus on the place or the limitation. Look from where you are. Dream bigger than your current circumstances.
Let the Spirit of God expand your vision. Your present situation does not determine your destiny; your spirit, your faith, and your vision in alignment with God’s Word do.
