TOPIC: NO ONE CAN KEEP THE LAW
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10 KJV
The Ten Commandments were never given for you to keep. In fact, the law was a distraction because when you read Romans 5:20, the bible says, “the law entered”. The law was not invited; it entered. You may ask, what do you mean by the law was never given to be kept? The Bible says, if you keep all of them and offend in one, you have broken all.
Now the question is, can you keep all the ten Commandments and other laws? If your salvation is predicated on the obedience of the law, you will go to hell.
There is a scripture we always quote, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9KJV). If your salvation is predicated on you confessing all your sins, you will still go to hell.
I know they tell you in the religious circle, that the Scripture is saying, anytime you sin, you confess it and then God will forgive you for that sin. Question, according to God’s economy of sin, starting from when you wake up in the morning till 12 midnight when we enter another day, can you capture every sin you committed?
The problem is that we are always categorizing what is sin in the presence of God as fornication, adultery, stealing, killing, etc. Every sin is sin! And the soul that sins shall die.
So don’t you dare come before God and flaunt your credentials: I did this, I did that, I fasted, I consecrated myself, and I dedicated myself. Therefore God, if you don’t bless me, who else will you bless? Brother Mike, are you saying it is wrong to consecrate yourself? No! Is it wrong to fast? No! Is it wrong to praise? No!
However, any obedience you give to God is a response to what He has already done for you, not for Him to do.
