RAISED FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:25 (KJV)

This text is so powerful to the point that when we received the revelation it will make our shoulders square and put some springs on our feet in our walk with God. Take your time to read it over and over again. He died for your sins. (Romans 5:6-8) He became your sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Put on your imagination and personalize this scripture. He forgave you and nailed all the ordinances that were against you on the cross (Col. 2:13-14) (Ephesians 1:7). In other words, He nailed all the accusations that the devil uses against you on His cross. It did not end in His death on the cross; the power of the text is that He was raised for your justification.

If He only died without being raised, you will still be doomed. Thank God that He was raised showing that the claims of justice have been fully satisfied. You can no longer suffer in the hands of the devil. You can walk free. You have been discharged and acquitted, the case is closed and no appeal.

Jesus, our Substitute, paid the debt we could not pay. On the cross, He bore the sins of our entire life. God put it on Him and went ahead to punish Him for every single one of those Sins until He was fully satisfied. So the price has been paid in full. Anytime the devil brings up any accusation, remind him that it was paid for in FULL. There is no more bill to pay, no more debt to clear, the finished work on Calvary was complete.

Because God was so pleased with what Jesus did, He raised Him from the dead. Today His tomb is empty. He is risen and alive forevermore. This resurrection and empty tomb are our assurance that we have been fully justified. God will never judge you again for your sins. His justice is on your side; He will appear the second time without sin to us unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28)
