TOPIC: THE ANSWER IS IN THE WORD

“Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; and he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” – 2 Chronicles 20:14-15 KJV

We need a generation of people who move in the Spirit. Notice how the phrase “the son of” is repeated several times. This emphasizes generations of people who know how to connect with the Spirit. When the Spirit came upon Jahaziel, he spoke something profoundly powerful.
“…Be not afraid, be not afraid, nor be dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” What an assurance! The battle is not yours; it belongs to God. The answer came from the Spirit.

Jesus said: “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” – John 6:63 KJV

In 1 Corinthians 2:1-4, Paul declared: “And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with the excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear and much trembling. And my speech and preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in the demonstration of Spirit and of power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:1-4 KJV

Today, the wisdom of men is failing, but I know what cannot fail: the infallible, errorless, impregnable, and authoritative Word of God. God’s Word is alive, powerful, and already settled in Heaven. God watches over His Word to perform it. Stand boldly and unwaveringly on the authority of the Word, in season and out of season. The Word never fails!
