THE FIVE FOOLISH VIRGINS

“And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” Matthew 25:2-4 (KJV)

In my many years of ministry, I have seen many people I called personally, knowing fully well that the way they were headed was going to lead to destruction, who refused to listen to me, and the devil took them out, so cheaply. Many carelessly fall into the hands of the devil despite the clear warnings on their path. They assumed that when they follow instructions, they were doing God or the Pastor or leader a special favour.

God has planted you in the Ministry for a purpose and He is the one that gives you the shepherd. You may think you chose the church you are in, but the truth is that He directed you there. Therefore, every instruction from your man of God is for your good. If you cannot be instructed, if you are in the company of those who no longer get involved in fasting, you are a foolish virgin.

Don’t get to any point in your walk with God that you fail to get actively involved in the things of the Kingdom. It is a foolish thing to do! No activity in church! You have become senior brothers and senior elders. No fire! You have become laid back in your relationship with God. No study of the word of God! Beloved, this is a dangerous place to be. You are quick to remind the Pastor that you are a foundational member of the Church. You are quick to tell the group leader the story of the Church before he or she joined. You think you know all there is to know about God. Beloved, this is a dangerous position to be in.

These same people, when there is a call for any assistance in the church they will not give, and they will discourage others who want to give. Foolish virgins! No tithing! No offering! Nothing! If there is anyone who is on fire for God, they discourage them and talk them out. Foolish virgins. What a terrible state to be in. Be not partakers with them.
