TOPIC: THE LAW IS NOT FOR THE BELIEVER
“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” Romans 3:19 KJV
The church is not under the law. We are not Jews. We are Gentiles. When we received Christ, we became a new creation. For a new creation, a new law was given. It is the law of love, faith, and liberty. We don’t walk in the same law that the Jews walked in.
The Church has mixed it up over the years, with the result being that people are frustrated. They come to church, they love God, and they are wondering, When will they ever be saved? They told you that if you receive Christ, you are a new creation, but you still see yourself doing something wrong. That means you have no hope because the law and grace are mixed together.
The law was written for those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped. It was given to make you guilty and to remind you that you are a sinner. And the soul that sins shall die. If you have to die, there is no hope. There must be a way out.
Apostle Paul declares in his epistle: “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin”. (Romans 3:20 KJV). The law made you know what sin is, and you say, you must keep it?
The Scriptures explain further, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference.” (Romans 3:21-22 KJV). Even the law you want to keep is telling you: “I am not the one. I am talking about Jesus.”
Child of God, you are a believer. Therefore, you are not under the Jewish law but under the law of life in Christ Jesus.
