THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU IN PERFECT PEACE
Dr. Mike Okonkwo10 January 2020″Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”.
Isaiah 26:3 KJVI feel compelled to get you grounded in the reality of who you are and what is available to you so early in the year to lay a foundation for a glorious leap year.God’s plan for you is perfect peace, irrespective of the events happening all around you. When your mind is focused on the Lord, He will keep you in perfect peace. Rather than thinking of what to eat and what to drink, think about your right-standing, thank Him for your right standing, thank Him for the peace He has made with you and His peace which He has given you.Look at what Jesus said in the book of John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”(KJV)Jesus has overcome the world and has deprived the world of the power to harm you. When you focus on what He has accomplished on your behalf, you will experience perfect peace. And when that peace comes, automatically joy will fill your heart. You will leave your prayer room with joy. You will forget about all cares and worries because somehow, you have an assurance inside you that they are all covered. The joy of the Lord will become your strength. Paul said to the Philippian church: “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4 KJV) The man was in jail but he was still rejoicing because he had a clear understanding of the finished work of Calvary.Beloved, let joy fill your heart because the main thing has been dealt with. Romans 8:31-32 says: “What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Child of God, the thing you are anxious about is already freely given.Further Reading: Romans 8:28-39
