WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: THE MINISTRATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
“For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.” – 2 Corinthians 3:9 (KJV)
The Bible describes the Law as “the ministration of condemnation” and “the ministration of death.” It is called this because no one could perfectly keep the Law. Though it carried its own measure of glory, that glory was temporary, a fading glory that was destined to pass away.
Beloved, the purpose of the Law was never to commend anyone but to condemn. It revealed man’s inability to meet God’s standard. It showed humanity its need for a Saviour. The Law did an excellent job of exposing sin, but it could not remove it. Yet, even that ministration, which brought condemnation, had glory.
Now, if the ministration of condemnation carried glory, how much more glorious is the ministration of righteousness! This is the glory that excels, the glory of grace, the glory of redemption, the glory of right standing with God through Christ Jesus.
Beloved, as a New Testament believer, you are no longer under the ministration of condemnation. You now stand under the Ministration of Righteousness, the divine order in which God sees you as righteous through the finished work of Jesus. Under this ministration, you are never wrong before God. You are accepted, justified, and loved.
This means you can now stand before God without fear, guilt, condemnation, or accusation. There is no sense of inferiority or sin-consciousness because Jesus has taken your place and given you His righteousness. The devil, who is the accuser of the brethren, has lost his case against you. No accusation he brings can stand, because your righteousness is not based on your performance, it is based on Christ’s perfection.
Beloved, live with this revelation, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). The more you understand what Jesus has accomplished for you, the more you can walk boldly in all that God has provided; peace, joy, power, and dominion.
You are no longer condemned; you are clothed in glory that exceeds!
