THE POWER OF THE SECRET PLACE
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.” Isaiah 38:1 (KJV)

According to the scriptures, when Hezekiah received this report he “…turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,” (Isaiah 38:2). In other words, he shut down from everything surrounding him. He shut down from natural circumstances and situations. He shut down from the lie of the devil and the doctor’s report. He shut down from the postulations, the predictions, and the calculations of man. That is what the secret place is all about. Shutting down completely from what you used to know. Shutting down from what anyone is telling you, Hezekiah shut down and turned his face to the wall. He refused to see any other thing. As he broke down and wept, the Lord sent Isaiah to go and tell him that He has added fifteen more years to his life. That is the power of the secret place.

God is your refuge! Jehovah Rapha is your Healer! He is your Great Provider! He is your Victorious Banner! He is your Shepherd! He is your Elevation! He is your Rock! He is your Shield your Buckler! He is El-Shaddai! He is the God that is more than enough. He will meet your needs. If He met the needs of the children of Israel in the wilderness for 40years, how much more now that we are sons of God.

So, stop speaking about the devil. When you catch yourself thinking what the devil is doing, cast it down and begin to say of the Lord. When you start speaking what you got out of the secret place, God begins to reveal His true nature to you. He begins to reveal to you His power, authority, and what is available to you. His power of protection and preservation will keep you from evil.
