THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV)

Christ has risen! It is not just a historical reality. It is a spiritual fact. It is a spiritual truth upon which you can build your faith. It is a spiritual reality. And because He arose there is hope for you.

When Jesus was buried, the religious leaders made sure that they sealed the grave so that He will not rise. And not only sealed, but soldiers were also put there to ensure that He did not resurrect. But they failed to realize that there is no power anywhere in the universe that can stop what God had a purpose to accomplish. God declared in the Book of Isaiah 46:10, saying “…My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,” (NKJV).

On the third day, God unleashed His greatest power to ensure resurrection. As far as the devil was concerned, it was a hopeless case. He thought he had cornered God. He thought he would keep Jesus permanently in the grave. He wanted to truncate our salvation because if Jesus did not rise, we cannot claim salvation. But he forgot that he was dealing with God. He was not dealing with man.

In the beginning, God! God existed before anything, so there is no way the devil can corner God or back Him to the wall. Just as hell could not stop the resurrection of Christ, know that no power can stop you. What did not stop Jesus cannot stop you. In Christ, there is no hopeless situation. The resurrection of Christ guarantees us victory in every area of life. Therefore, never expect defeat in any area of your life. Rather, expect your life to go from one level of glory to another because Christ is risen from the grave.

You will not die prematurely. All that God has created will work in your favour in Jesus’ name.
