WALK IN DOMINION
Dr. Mike Okonkwo

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:”
Colossians 2: 6 KJV

I strongly believe in my spirit that the people who will make it through this decade and this season are people who have taken hold of the key to walking in dominion. God’s plan, purpose and objectivity for us as His children is to walk in dominion. In Genesis 1:1, the Bible tells us that God made man in his image and likeness. He gave him authority! He gave him dominion over everything He has created. And He commanded him to take charge, subdue the earth and replenish it

May I announce to you that your Christianity will be a struggle until you learn to walk in dominion. You see, whenever you walk contrary to God’s will and design for your life, there will be no fulfilment. Fulfilment only comes as you zero in on God’s purpose for your life. You are called to walk in dominion. And if you must have dominion over your flesh and over your soul, then the spirit must be given its rightful place. God wants you to walk in dominion in your society. He wants you to walk in dominion as a doctor, as a nurse, as a lawyer, as an accountant, as a judge, as a student, as a home maker, as a spinster and as a bachelor. Wherever you are and wherever God has specially put you, He put you there to demonstrate the Messianic presence. That is what dominion is all about.

Anything less than that, you’ll never be comfortable in your Christian experience because it would amount to conformity to the world. The Bible says in Romans 12:2 be ye not conformed to this world but be ye transformed. Anything other than walking in that realm which God has put you will mean conformity. It will mean that you are not transformed. There are many Christians who have received Jesus who are still living in conformity. Receiving Jesus does not automatically put dominion in your hands. You have to decide to walk in the truth of the Word of God.
