WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
“…Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.” – 2 Kings 7:2 (KJV)
Beloved, many times, believers place more faith in the words of humans than in the promises of God. After surgery, for example, your doctor may tell you, “You can go home in three days.” You take it as gospel and begin telling everyone to expect you back. And why? Because a human said it.
But what if God speaks and declares, “You are going home tomorrow”, will you believe Him?
Consider the story in Samaria. The city was under siege, and the people were in desperate need. God looked at the situation and gave a prophetic word: “…Tomorrow, about this time, a measure of fine flour shall be sold for one shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” – (2 Kings 7:1 KJV).
Yet, a high-ranking officer, with direct access to the king, like a chief protocol officer today, dismissed the word. “Tell it to the marines. I know enough!” How often do we do the same, placing doubt over God’s Word?
Beloved, God has already covered every need in your life. Not one detail is beyond His reach. No situation is too terrible for Him. The question is simple: Can you dare to believe? All things are possible to those who believe.
In a world full of gadgets, news, and constant noise, you must deliberately focus on the Word of God. Do not allow the lies of the enemy or the distractions of the world to shake your faith. Google cannot replace God’s Word. Facebook cannot replace God’s Word. Only His promises are absolute.
The devil is a liar, trying to bring anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. But God’s Word is unshakable, with no margin for failure. His Word shall come to pass in your life. Have faith in God. You will not die; you will live to declare His wondrous works.
