YOU ARE STANDING IN GRACE
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Thursday 26th January 2023

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (KJV)

Triumphant! That is how God wants you to see yourself. When you see yourself like that, the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of truth will now work it out. Until you see yourself that way, the Holy Spirit will have nothing to work with. According to the scriptures, Jesus was delivered for our offences and was raised for us to be justified before God; without condemnation, without accusation, and without any judgment.

We are free! Set free by the sacrifice of Christ! The full bill has been paid. We have been discharged and acquitted. The case is closed and there is no appeal. It is all done! You are at peace with God. God is not angry with you. You now have peace with God. How did it come about? You are now standing on grace. Whether you are in a remote part of the world where nothing is working, you are standing on grace. And that ground will work for you because that place you are standing is now grace.

Can you imagine Jesus going anywhere and for something not to work for Him? Is it possible? Can Jesus go anywhere, even if it is a hole, and nothing works for Him? Not possible! If it works for Jesus, it will also work for you. Why? Because you are standing in grace. Your standing now is in Christ. You are not standing on your own. The equation has changed. That is why the greatest need for any sinner is to receive Christ as Saviour and Lord.

A sinner on this earth is without God and hope. The greatest need for anyone who has not received Christ is to say, “Jesus come into my heart”. The day you do that, the equation changes. Your level changes. You become a highflyer because you are standing in grace. That is where we stand!
