YOU HAVE GOD ON YOUR SIDE.

“And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:26 (KJV)

In the book of 1 Peter5:8, the scripture says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion…” He is not the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is as a roaring lion. So, when he is roaring, pay no attention to him. Just focus on the word of God.

Goliath roared continuously against the armies of Israel for forty days and they went into hiding. Forty is the number of judgement. And here comes a young man, David, who knows his covenant with God. He understood that once you have a covenant with God, nothing can defeat you.

He stepped on the scene, heard Goliath boasting, and said: who is this? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? Everyone was shocked because he was only 17 years old. You see, it is not about how old you are, it is about the relationship you have with God and how connected you are with Him. At the backside of the desert, David had developed a powerful and robust relationship with God. He understood that God will always fight his battle. He challenged Goliath to a duel, though king Saul, his brothers, and many others said he had no chance of defeating Goliath.

Beloved, if God be for you, no one can prevail against you? All you need is God on your side. It’s not about what people say. It is about God being on your side. You have God on your side. He will never leave you and He will never forsake you. He will stand by you. He will jump into the boat with you, anywhere you go. He will be with you morning, afternoon, and night. He will be with you in your challenges. He will be with you in your difficulties. He will never leave you nor forsake you. His presence will make a difference even in every situation.
