WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
BY BISHOP MIKE OKONKWO
SUNDAY 3RD MAY 2026
TOPIC: BE PROUD OF YOUR RIGHTEOUS HERITAGE
“For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV)
When you make a mistake and fall into sin, your righteousness does not change. Stand on that ground and you will see the fruits of righteousness manifest in your life. My assignment is to open your eyes to this revelation so that you can rightfully take your place.
Enough of you playing the second fiddle. If you are not ashamed, I am. If you are a Christian, do not try to change your identity. I feel sad when I see people bowing as cowards. I don’t go anywhere in the world and bow my head. I only bow my head to Jesus. I know who I am.
What is wrong with believers? If they refuse you, will you refuse yourself? Why don’t you develop what you have and let them come to look for you? When they talk about what rightly belongs to you, why will they be behaving as though they are doing you a favour?
The first revelation of God is as a Creator. You are a co-creator because God is a creator. Why then will you allow ignorance to garage you? When your spiritual foundation is wrong, every other thing will be wrong. Do not become agents of destruction in the hands of people who want to deceive you.
I once told a sitting governor that God has given him the opportunity to write his name on the sand of time for his people. The same goes for the believer in Christ. Don’t settle for just anything!
We should be proud of our great and righteous heritage. Young people do not let anyone use you as a shield from bullets. Don’t die prematurely. You have a very bright future. The world will hear about you.
By the mandate of heaven, whatever the devil has packaged against your health, your finance, your job, your business, your academics, and your marital life will not stand. Your mouth will testify!
