TOPIC: DON’T BE AFRAID
“If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.” – 2 Kings 7:4–5 (KJV)
Beloved, it’s time to stop living in the arena of “what-ifs.” You would be amazed how many believers are trapped in that arena:
“What if I try and fail?”
“What if it doesn’t work?”
“What if I take that step and things go wrong?”
“What if I keep believing, and in the end, I’m disappointed?”
This endless cycle of what-ifs has crippled many destinies. It’s not that God hasn’t planned great things for you, He has. But fear keeps many believers from stepping into the fullness of what God has already prepared.
The lepers in this passage faced three options: go into the city and die, stay where they were and die, or take a bold step toward the enemy’s camp, and possibly live. They chose to move. And as they stepped out, God moved ahead of them.
The truth is simple: if you are afraid to fail, you will never achieve anything significant. Fear of failure produces mediocrity. You can’t soar while clinging to safety. Yes, failure can be uncomfortable, even embarrassing, but failure doesn’t define you. It only reveals another way that doesn’t work.
Stop sitting idly by while others step into their purpose. While you hesitate, others are advancing, creating, building, and becoming. Get up! Move forward!
Child of God, you are not ordinary. You have the Holy Ghost inside you, your Helper, Counselor, Intercessor, Teacher, and Strengthener. With Him at work in you, how can you fail?
You are equipped to win. You are an overcomer. The Greater One lives in you, and that means you cannot be defeated.
