WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

TOPIC: DON’T DOUBT THE WORD
“Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.” – 2 Kings 7:2 (KJV)
After Prophet Elisha declared the Word of the Lord concerning the famine in Samaria, one of the king’s officials immediately responded with doubt. He questioned the possibility of such a miracle, saying, “Even if the LORD should open the windows of heaven, could this really happen?”
In essence, he was saying, “That’s impossible!” But the Prophet replied, “You shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat thereof.”
Beloved, this is a sober warning. Every time you doubt what God has said, you exclude yourself from the manifestation of His promises. Doubt may not stop God’s Word from coming to pass, but it can stop you from partaking of its blessings.
Whenever you say, “I don’t see how this can happen,” you are shutting the door to your own miracle. Faith opens the windows of heaven; doubt closes them.
I challenge you today, lay claim to every Word that God has spoken concerning your life. Never doubt the Word! If God said it, it will surely come to pass. His Word is His bond.
When you believe and refuse to doubt, you will experience supernatural interventions. You will have testimonies that defy human reasoning, testimonies that come simply through obedience to His Word.
Every prophetic Word God gives you is designed to strengthen your faith and help you look beyond your present circumstances. It gives you an anchor of hope and rest even in uncertain times.
So, don’t discard what God has spoken. Don’t rationalize it. Run with it! It is the Word you act upon in faith that produces results in your life.
Beloved, God has already gone ahead of you. The battles you fear are already won. The obstacles you dread have been removed supernaturally.
“And when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.” – 2 Kings 7:5 (KJV)
What seemed impossible was already handled by God before they even arrived. The same God who turned famine into abundance overnight is still at work today, and He will do the same for you if you only believe.
