FUNCTION BY SPIRITUAL INSIGHT

“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:17 (KJV)

One of the hallmarks of the last days is deception. So you cannot leave your life to chance. You cannot leave your life to probability or assumptions. In the book of Ephesians 1:17-22, apostle Paul personally and passionately prayed and made supplication to God for the church at Ephesus. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.”

In other words, apostle Paul wants the church to have a far above mentality in every challenge. A far above mentality in every difficult situation. A far above mentality that enables you to overcome deception.

According to the book of Colossians 3:1: “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” Seek things above and not things beneath. In other words, to overcome the spirit of deception, don’t go by sight, go by the Spirit. That is the secret to gaining victory over deception. It is very important, therefore, that you function by spiritual insight. Aside from spiritual insight, you cannot go far, you can’t go further, you cannot succeed, and you cannot fulfill the destiny that God has ordained for you.
