THE DANGER OF SPIRITUAL IGNORANCE

“Therefore, my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst” Isaiah 5:13 (KJV)

If you are spiritually blind to what has been made available, you cannot have the boldness to make a demand for it. Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the church in Colossae, said: “For this cause, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:9-13 KJV)

Beloved, if you don’t have spiritual understanding, it will be tough to walk worthy of the Lord. If you don’t have insight concerning the things that have been made available to you, the devil will rob you of your lunch. You will be sitting down, watching him and you will be passing the blame on everything.

You will be shocked how many believers, out of spiritual ignorance and blindness, have robbed themselves of what God has made available for them. It hurts to see that Jesus paid the supreme price for your complete and total victory, but out of ignorance, you allow some charlatans behind the sacred desks to make merchandise of you. The book of Hosea says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6 KJV)

When you are ignorant, when you fail to know, and when you fail to understand what God has made available to you, you will become cheap prey in the hands of the devil. He will toss you here and there because you do not know the truth. Jesus said if you continue in my word, you will know the truth and the truth you know shall make you free. You must never be spiritually ignorant.
