TOPIC: KNOWING CHRIST AFFECTS THE WAY YOU FUNCTION
“For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV
Until Jesus becomes your priority in life, you’ve not really seen Him. There are many things that we prioritize in life, there are many things that we can sacrifice for, there are many things we are ready to pay any price for, there are many things we are ready to give up at the expense of anything that has to do with the kingdom, and yet we say we have seen the Lord. But when we truly see Him, it will affect the way we function.
According to Apostle Paul, the most important thing to him was that Christ died for him. Apostle Paul realised where he was coming from, he knew that he was an injurious person, and yet Christ died for him. Apostle Paul says that is what matters.
That was the determining factor in how he functioned. He is saying in essence: “When I remember the price Christ paid on my behalf, it determines how I function.”
In Philippians 3:10, Apostle Paul said: “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” (Philippians 3:10 NKJV).
When you see Jesus, there are things you won’t struggle with. You won’t struggle with winning souls. You won’t struggle to come to church. You won’t struggle to lift your fellow brothers in prayer. It will not be a struggle to pray and fast. But the issue is: have you seen him?
When you see Jesus, every other thing loses value. Not even your money, because you cannot save yourself with your money. Your money is too cheap! It takes blood for you to be saved. And when you appreciate it and understand that life was laid down for you, you will not struggle.
When you see Him, nothing else matters. He becomes the priority in your life, and every other thing loses value.
