WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
BY BISHOP MIKE OKONKWO

WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL 2026

TOPIC: SHARE YOUR TESTIMONIES

“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.” – Luke 17:15-16 KJV

Beloved, cultivate the habit of declaring God’s goodness over your life. Once I was lost in sin, but now I’m saved. Once I could not afford my rent, but look at where God has brought me. Once they said I could never have a child because I had no womb, yet see what the Lord has done. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Hallelujah.

In Luke 17:11-19, ten lepers cried out to Jesus. He told them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests,” because their miracle was already settled. As they went, they noticed they had been cleansed. But only one returned to give glory to God. Jesus asked, “Were there not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?” Only one came back in gratitude. To that man Jesus said, “Arise, go your way; your faith has made you whole.”

There is a difference between being cleansed and being made whole. Cleansing meant the leprosy disappeared, but the missing fingers and toes remained gone. Wholeness meant restoration. That one grateful man received back everything leprosy had taken from him. Nothing missing, nothing broken.

Testimonies carry that same power. They don’t just recount what God has done; they open the door for God to do more. Many believers are sitting on testimonies that could unlock the next dimension of grace in their lives. Some even hide their testimonies so no one will know they secured the billion-dollar contract. But scripture says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” Speak it. Celebrate God openly. “He that glories, let him glory in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:31 KJV).

Your thanksgiving is a magnet for wholeness. Your testimony is a seed for more. Glorify God with it.
