TOPIC: THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS
“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:19 KJV
In the book of 2 Chronicles 20, allied forces came against Jehoshaphat. And God said to him, “You don’t need to fight in this battle. The battle is not yours, but mine.” Then Jehoshaphat proceeded to organize a music festival, and they began to sing. The Holy Spirit gave them a strategy. And as they began to sing and approach, they said, “The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever.”
Beloved, His loving kindness, faithfulness, and grace are sufficient for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
As they were singing, the allied forces turned against themselves and began to kill each other. When they finished, it took three days for God’s people to gather the spoils. Inside that battle was their silver, gold, and all the good things they collected in the battle.
The battles and challenges you are facing and the pressures mounting against you from all sides are not meant to defeat you. God is making you understand that in that situation, all you need to do is stand firm because God has said the battle is not your own.
Beloved, no pirate looks for an empty ship. Pirates only risk their lives for a ship that is loaded. It is because of the loaded nature of God’s blessing on your life that the enemy is coming against you. So why would you withdraw simply because there is a challenge?
That thing that has been orchestrated to bring shame, disgrace, embarrassment, and ridicule to you will bow before you. God cannot invest creative ideas in your heart; give you concepts and insights, only for you to be a disappointment. What God has put in you will manifest. I will hear your testimonies!
