WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: THE CHURCH IS SPECIAL TO GOD
“To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things which angels desire to look into.” – 1 Peter 1:12 (NKJV)
Beloved, the Church was a divine mystery hidden in the heart of God until the fullness of time came. From the very beginning, God, the Creator of all things, kept this mystery concealed, waiting for the perfect time to unveil it. The prophets of old spoke about it; they prophesied concerning our salvation and the grace that was to come.
However, they did not fully understand what they were speaking about. They foretold the rise of a new people, a generation to whom God would not impute sin, a new creation that God would not judge. They longed to understand the mystery of the Church, but it was reserved for us in this dispensation of grace.
God’s eternal purpose in all of this was to use the Church to display His manifold wisdom, His infinite intelligence, to the unseen rulers and authorities in heavenly places. You, as a believer, are a part of this divine revelation. You are a carrier of His glory, created to manifest His excellence and majesty to the world.
Your assignment is to reveal to the world what heaven looks like, because you carry the atmosphere of heaven within you. This was God’s eternal plan, which He fulfilled through Christ Jesus our Lord.
As Paul declared: “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” (1 Corinthians 2:7–8 NKJV).
Beloved, don’t you understand? You are the mystery that confuses the kingdom of darkness. The forces of hell cannot comprehend how you operate in such divine authority and power. They cannot understand how someone like you, born of the Spirit, carries heaven’s mandate on earth.
This is what makes the Church extraordinary. We are the special people of God, chosen to manifest His wisdom and favour in every place. We are the ones God treats with distinction and grace. You are not ordinary, you are heaven’s ambassador, revealing God’s glory to the world!
