WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

MONDAY 9th MARCH 2026

TOPIC: WE ARE NOT ORDINARY

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

Beloved, the new creation is a profound mystery in the heart of God. God waited for the appointed time before unveiling the Church, and when He did, it was a revelation of something extraordinary.
Believers are not ordinary. You may wear the same clothes or eat the same food as others, but you are not an ordinary person. You are a supernatural being, a spiritual being with authority and purpose.

If anyone is in Christ, they are a brand-new species of being that has never existed before. “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.” (2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV).
Notice carefully, “no man” is not just referring to others, it also refers to you. The scripture tells you to stop evaluating yourself by natural standards. You are not merely flesh and blood. You are a spirit, inhabiting a body, with a soul that experiences life. Your body is only a container, it is not who you truly are.

Therefore, stop measuring yourself by the natural perspective. In Christ, you are a new creation, a unique being that has never existed before. You are not defined by ethnicity, background, or past experiences. You are a Christian; a born-again son or daughter of the Most High God.
Beloved, there is endless treasure available to you in Christ. “To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” (Ephesians 3:8 NKJV).

When you think you have reached your limit, God says: Take more. You have been made a new creation to carry and display His glory. You are a vessel of divine excellence, designed to manifest His power and purpose on the earth.

You are extraordinary. You are supernatural. You are new in Christ. Embrace it, and let His glory shine through you.
