WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL
BY BISHOP MIKE
SATURDAY MAY 30th 2026
TOPIC: THE EFFICACY OF THE WORD
“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Hebrews 1:3 KJV
Beloved, your sins have been purged. It is a once-and-for-all manifestation. And when He finished, He sat down.
The beauty of the blood of Jesus Christ is that it is efficacious and still works. As we go about our daily assignments, the enemy may try to attach himself to our lives and spin us, but the blood begins to wash us clean, giving us a fresh start. That is the blessing of the believer. The believer is constantly under the washing power of the blood daily.
Jesus did a perfect work. He is upholding all things by the word of His power. If the Word were taken out of this world, everything would dematerialize or melt off. You exist because of the Word that was spoken.
As Acts 17:28 says, “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being: as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.”(KJV). In other words, outside of Him, we cannot move or live. In Him, we move, live, and have our being, and we have our beings because we are in Him.
Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (KJV). To consistently connect to the supernatural, we must move beyond carnality, which relies on senses like sight, feelings, hearing, smell, and touch.
Instead, we operate in the spirit through God’s Word. When connected to His promises, we function in the supernatural, working with God’s kind of life (Zoe). As children of God, we are new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our lives have moved from natural to supernatural, and we express our supernatural manifestation in the natural world.
