TOPIC: THE GOSPEL DOES NOT BREED FEAR

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans‬ 1‬:16‬ KJV

It is unfortunate that some church folks are living in fear. But the gospel does not breed fear. No believer should live in fear of the devil. If you live in fear, you will lack boldness. And you will not be able to confront your confrontations and attack our attackers. Believers are afraid because fear has been released into the atmosphere, and so, they struggle to walk in faith.

The gospel is based on what Christ did for us. Paul says, I am not ashamed of the gospel because it carries power. The man saying this was a man who did not believe in the gospel.
He believed in his self-performance, his effort, and how he can keep the laws. But one day, God confronted him on the road to Damascus and made him know that salvation is not about you. It is what God Himself has packaged for us.

What is the gospel? It is God telling you what He has already done for you, not because you are good, but because He is good. Did you get that? The good news is God telling you what He has already completed for you in Christ, even before you were born. The gospel is about what the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ delivered to you.

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses on them. He is not holding them to account. If any man be in Christ, He is a brand new species of being that has never existed before.

You are in Christ. You are not in yourself. You are in Christ, and God sees you in Christ. He does not see sin in Christ. He does not see disease in Christ. He does not see pain in Christ. He does not see disappointment in Christ. He does not see fear in Christ. And as He is, so are we in this world.
