WISDOM FOR THE DAY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: THE SUPERNATURAL HOPE
“Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:18 KJV
Beloved, it doesn’t matter what you are encountering; don’t put yourself in a hopeless situation. You are not hopeless. Because you have Christ in you, your case is not hopeless. When man’s hope or the natural hope fails, we must stand on the supernatural hope.
Man’s hope is contingent on human reasoning, which always has a margin for failure. It is subject to change. And when every human calculation has failed, we are forced to give up. That is why you cannot stand on man’s hope.
The supernatural hope is a joyful, confident expectation of good. It does not stand on the wisdom of men but in the power of God. It does not fail. It has no margin for failure. So you can stand on it.
Against all hope, Abraham believed in hope. Going by the human hope, there was no chance. So, he latched on to the hope which is dependent on the power of God. Against hope, he believed in hope that he would be the father of many nations.
How? According to what was spoken and not according to what he was seeing in his body. He believed in God who quickeneth the dead and calls the things that be not as though they were.
Abraham was unmovable and unshakable until he received what was spoken. He refused to stagger through unbelief. The bible declares that Abraham was strong in faith, giving glory to God.
Beloved, stop looking at what you are seeing. Start looking according to what was spoken. The hope we depend on is according to what was spoken. God is not on vacation. Don’t you dare discount yourself. According to that which was spoken! If it has gone out of the lips of the Master, He will hasten its performance.
God’s Word never returns unto Him void. God’s Word will always accomplish what pleases Him.
