THE WORD OF GOD SETS YOU APART.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17 (KJV)

Jesus knew that the world is filled with evil. He knew that the world is filled with challenges, difficulties, and pressures. And so, He prayed for the Church. “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:15-17 (KJV)

Amid evil and all kinds of wickedness, the Word of God will set you apart. Amid challenges, the word will set you apart. The Word of God will make you uncommon. The word “sanctify” in our text means Holy. But it also means making them uncommon. In other words, let them not be people the enemy will push here and there. When others are saying there is a casting down, you are saying there is a lifting. When others are saying there is no hope, you are saying that the hope of Christ does not disappoint. When others are saying they are sick, you will say no “I am healed”. When others say they have failed, you say no “I am successful”.

The Word is incorruptible! Whenever the Word lands on something that is dead, it comes alive. “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And, its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you” (1 Peter 1:23-25)

You are born of the incorruptible seed. And when you understand that fact, no matter what is attempting to corrupt your life or destroy your life will always be swallowed up. Life will always consume death. And the Word is life. No plague and no calamity will come near your dwelling. In your pathway is life and there is no death.
